Answer by Mykhailo M.:
wikipedia, google search, chatGPT, YouTube
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Dinesh Siddharth V.:
Google,Websites that pop up on the search bar first.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Santram M.:
Wikipedia sometimes. but i often ask chat gpt as well. and the homepages of the institutions of relevant information
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Anthony J.:
If it is more finance based i will look at things such as investopedia but if it is more general I will consider using wikipedia
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Roselyn S.:
Generally, I use Google to look for additional information. WikiPedia is one of the websites I get information. I also use sites from Scholarly. If I remember, I also get information from a website called WikiHow (I'm not too sure I am accurate about that. But it usually sources information on how to do things. I also use YouTube for additional information.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Abby N.:
Google (I use the AI tool), Wikipedia, other miscellaneous resources I discover via Google.

Answer by Hank C.:
I did not choose to interact with it because I assumed it will underline and allow me to click on it to see more info on this topic. I did not know it was going to have a preview of wikipedia
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Mykhailo M.:
red text. Its not black like all other text on this webpage and also I saw interactions with "more info" like this, when part of the text is marked by some color
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Matthieu C.:
i would interact with it only if im curious enough about that specific location
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Dinesh Siddharth V.:
At first I did not notice the wikipedia previews as it was not bold text. I thought it was just highlighted words .
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Anthony J.:
I choose to hover over the information as it gave me a bit more understanding but i didn't go to any wikipedia pages as I wanted the basic understanding first
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Abby N.:
I had a general idea of what the highlighted item was, and also didn't want to navigate away from the page. I assumed that this is what would happen, though now I wonder if only a pop-up would appear (which I would prefer!)
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Hank C.:
It was not a good summary about the topic. It is merely the first few lines from wiki. It would be good to get a summary of it instead of the first few lines.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Mykhailo M.:
8/10 its enough, even sometimes more than enough
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Matthieu C.:
maybe a possibility to add a scrollbar navigation to explore further the preview because sometimes you don't get enough information in the preview to pick your curiosity and to go to the full page
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Abby N.:
I like that they are a distillation of a full Wikipedia article. If there was an option to navigate away to a full piece, I might do that if I am feeling especially curious about a topic. Overall, I enjoyed seeing additional images and not feeling that I was moving down into a rabbit hole and away from my initial/original intention.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Dinesh Siddharth V.:
It provides quite a bit of understanding about the highlighted text. Preview give a layover of information about the place or the additional information of the highlighted text.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Santram M.:
sufficient enough. it gives me a quick overview of what the word might be for and the cotnext as well.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Anthony J.:
I feel that they don't provide that much more information and I felt that each preview i read i was going to have to go the full article.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Arpit K.:
dictionary/thesaurus concise pin point pretty resonable
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Roselyn S.:
It gives a really good history lesson. To help the reader understand more about the area they want to potentially visit/tour. It's a good kick on knowledge.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Sheryl A.:
I think it gives enough information to have a at the very least a basic understanding of the top and what the top is about. Its a very basic summary but for me that would be enough at this point.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Hank C.:
I think it is valuable because it does save me some time from searching up the topic. The "continue reading" is a short cut for me
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Matthieu C.:
i know in wikipedia there's chapters and i would love to see a possibility to select a specific chapter and a preview of it
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Mykhailo M.:
I like when previews is showing on the page in the same time with all content. Yeah it makes page bigger, but i like to have an opportunity to compare info between main text and read more. Also I don`t like small popups. It feels like AD But from the other side its cool, when you don`t need to read this special info, when you know it by yourself, or from other blogs. So in this case its good for user that understand the topic
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Sheryl A.:
Yes they are valuable to get a brief understanding of a topic. I feel to add more value they could be specific text for the preview that doesn't cut off.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Abby N.:
Yes; I appreciated the images, but they could be of consistent quality. I think that the general overview is effective and if the blurb pulled out the most interesting/salient points, all the better. If it were just the introduction of a Wikipedia article, they might not be as engaging. Also, there should be a translation option if the pop-out does not match the original article text.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Dinesh Siddharth V.:
It gives a good amount if information about the text in red. But I think most people will prefer on searching the information in the internet by themselves as many doesn't always have or trust wikipedia as their first source of information. But it adds some in some cases as as looking for additional information about places and locations.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Santram M.:
I do find them valuable for sure. I think they sort of provide a wholesome information about what Im reading and that makes it easy to understand and navigate if i need to. But I do have one suggestion. I would have liked if the previews didn't block my view of the article. I mean I d rather have them popped up in the side where it doesn't cover the article at a point I am reading.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Anthony J.:
I believe they add some value by giving a bit more information and the link to the full article. I'd double the size of the preview to give me more info and then i may not have to go to the full article
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Roselyn S.:
I definitely find them valuable...highly. They teach about the specific things they point out. Which have a meaning in the area and the people from the country. I would want to visit the location because of information given about it. Especially one that has decades of historical memories.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardParticipant | Other answer |
---|---|
Mykhailo M. | red text should be not link directly to wiki. It should open the popup and if I want to read more, I click it in the popup |
Santram M. | what i wrote in the previous question |
Answer by Mykhailo M.:
1. Time of closing the popup should be shorter 2. For me its not comfortable when you scroll down to the end the preview and after that your scroll movement works on the main page.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Hank C.:
An AI generated summary for the topic would be really good.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Abby N.:
The anchored blurb/preview at the bottom of the page was a little misleading; I expected to have the ability to scroll and would like to be able to do that. Also, the translation issue was obvious, and I might want more items to engage with, but not very obvious words/phrases, etc. Just things of particular interest.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Dinesh Siddharth V.:
Adding resizable previews and language selector would if useful. web search options can be given.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Santram M.:
Including wikipedia pages or previews about interesting aspects of the city that are included in the articles should also be mentioned.
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Anthony J.:
I'd like to more information in the previews
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Arpit K.:
image- quality concise link google broken
See/Hear Session Copy answer to clipboardAnswer by Roselyn S.:
Make the articles shorter. Or have the preview be a summary of the entire subject (red words).
